Which size is right for which child?

TURBO The RETRO are designed for children ages three and up and weighing up to 35 kg. The EVOLUTION is the largest model: for children ages five and up, at least 110 cm tall, and weighing up to 60 kg—so it can even accommodate older siblings.

In addition to age, inseam length is crucial: for the EVOLUTION, it should be 46 to 48 cm so that the pedals can be reached comfortably.

Freewheel, pedal clutch, disengageable pedal drive—what do these terms mean?

TURBO RETRO has a two-speed shifter with a pedal and freewheel clutch. The child can let the bike coast without the pedals turning and re-engage the clutch when starting to ride again.

On the EVOLUTION, the pedal drive can be completely disengaged using the shift knob—even then, the pedals do not turn when the bike is coasting. This makes it more comfortable when rolling downhill or being pushed.

Pneumatic tires or maintenance-free wheels?

The RETRO runs on 10-inch pneumatic tires. They absorb bumps and roll more smoothly on grass and gravel—but they do need to be re-inflated from time to time.

TURBO The EVOLUTION has maintenance-free plastic wheels with rubber treads. They never need to be inflated and are puncture-proof; on the EVOLUTION, they can be replaced without tools.

Why an Adjustable Seat Is Important

Kids grow fast. The seat on the RETRO is adjustable in two positions, on the TURBO in three, and on the EVOLUTION in six. The more adjustment levels, the longer the bike will fit—and the more safely the child can reach the pedals and brakes.
