The Difference
That's why a KETTLER lasts longer.
From the outside, they look similar. The difference becomes apparent in the third season—in the frame, the material, and whether replacement parts are available.
| Characteristic | KETTLER | Other providers |
|---|---|---|
| Frame | Steel tubular frame with a plastic front cover | Plastic bodywork without a load-bearing frame |
| Drive | Pedal drive can be disengaged — Idling without the pedals turning | Fixed direct drive; the pedals always turn with the bike |
| Brake | Handbrake applied to both rear wheels | Braking using the pedals alone |
| Chain guard | Chain case completely enclosed; the chain can still be adjusted | Exposed or only partially covered chain |
| Wheels | Ball-bearing mounted, puncture-proof, replaceable without tools | Wheels are permanently fitted and cannot be replaced individually |
Buy the right one once instead of buying a new one every two years.
